TB Senior session

It's very odd when you are able to watch someone grow from baby to High School Senior and remember it all. This year I have the pleasure to watch my cousin graduate from the same high school my mother graduated from 50 years ago.

I met up with my cousin for a quick shoot. We shot the "boring" photos, the nice ones, and quickly headed up the street to catch him long boarding. He has such a passion for long boarding and you can see it as he rides.
So here are a few shots from our session.

Congrats!! Im very excited to see what the future holds for you!

She said yes!!!

I had the sweat honor of helping my friend propose to his love! I even got to ride with as he picked out the ring! I cant tell how many times I was about to explode with excitement! A few days before the proposal I met with my friend and went over the "Plan". Then he handed me the ring.... Whoa!! Let me tell you, having someone else's engagement ring in your possession is very nerve wracking. I wouldn't trade any of this experience for anything!!

Here's how it went down...

I had "called" my friend and was looking for a couple to shoot for my portfolio and I was wondering if they would be willing to help. Of course they were! ;)
We met at the Railroad pass between Henderson, and Boulder City then headed out to Nelson, NV. They brought along two friends with them, and those two are pretty awesome people. It was all laughs and giggles until.... it was time.

I had a spot in mind so we headed that way, and I just gave my friend a wink. I swear my body heat went up 20 degrees!

I positioned him a few feet behind her, and I had to keep walking over to him to "show him how to pose" and passed off the ring. I snapped a few shots to keep her attention, then asked her to hold her pose. That's when he was on his knee, and to get her expression I stood right behind him. It was too perfect! She said "of course" which in my book counts for a big YES!

I am so happy for these two and I cannot, I repeat, I CAN NOT wait to shoot their wedding!

I just love her expression

Grandchildren

When I first started taking pictures, I was a little nervous about photographing kids. In fact after my first child shoot, I swore off kids. Well that didn't last long at all, and now kids are in fact one of my favorite things to photograph.

I got together with my cousins for a Mother's/Grandmother's day shoot. I will say these kids are super fun, and so easy going! Its like they are trained models!
So I will be glad to photograph your kids ANYTIME!!

This is what big brothers do when you say "hold him up!" But he doesn't seem to mind.

Engagement... Not!

I have to give some BIG credit to my niece for letting me drag her around and pose her every which way. She's younger and I can tell her what to do for the most part, and she is very easy going about all this. I asked her and a friend of hers to shoot a MOCK engagement session. It was fun!! Probably the most fun Ive had just walking around snapping pictures. again... She is NOT engaged for all family and friends who read this!!!

Busy as a bee!

Wew! It has been a crazy month and a half! Between school, photo shoots and helping to plan our parents surprise 40th Anniversary I have had little time to do anything!

Now that the Party is over and it was a huge success, I have some time to think and get my mind on the right path again.

Coming from a large family, it is near impossible to get everyone together. We almost had it once, but no dice. I believe our last family photo was... 10-11 years? Since then our family has expanded, scratch that, it has exploded! Since this has been a hard thing to do I thought of the saying, "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all". I went around and met with most of my siblings (7 out of 13) to get some family pictures. All within a week! WEW! It was fun and very tiring. With the awesome help of my sister and niece(www.heritagemakers.com) we were able to print 8x8 canvas' to display at the party! Mom cried when she found out they were for her! Of course for 3 days she has been rearranging them trying to figure out how to put 13 pictures on one wall!

I am so blessed to have an amazing and talented family! love you all!

Chapman

A few weekends ago, we were able to attend the most stress-free wedding ever! It was fun!
It was our, and when I say our I mean my husbands and mine, close friends from San Diego. Shaun and Jesika are crack ups! From the moment I met Shaun, the guy has been a hoot.

They were married at the Las Vegas sign and after 25 years of living in Vegas I have to say it was my first! It was also my first wedding to photograph! Thank you guy for letting me "experiment" on you two!

I am so happy for Shaun and Jesika and I wish them a life time of happiness and safety!
(for the bike riding)

Introducing...

Baby B.

On February 18th my family grew a little bigger. That's right, this little baby is my niece. This was my first baby photo shoot and it went great! A little fussing, some help from Big Brother, and loads of cuteness! She just makes me melt!! I am so excited to finally post these photos, they were done as a surprise for the Daddy.
Enjoy!

Tiny little feet!

Daddy's #1 fan

My absolute favorite!!
