Chapman

A few weekends ago, we were able to attend the most stress-free wedding ever! It was fun!
It was our, and when I say our I mean my husbands and mine, close friends from San Diego. Shaun and Jesika are crack ups! From the moment I met Shaun, the guy has been a hoot.

They were married at the Las Vegas sign and after 25 years of living in Vegas I have to say it was my first! It was also my first wedding to photograph! Thank you guy for letting me "experiment" on you two!

I am so happy for Shaun and Jesika and I wish them a life time of happiness and safety!

Introducing...

Baby B.

On February 18th my family grew a little bigger. That's right, this little baby is my niece. This was my first baby photo shoot and it went great! A little fussing, some help from Big Brother, and loads of cuteness! She just makes me melt!! I am so excited to finally post these photos, they were done as a surprise for the Daddy.
Enjoy!

Tiny little feet!

Daddy's #1 fan

My absolute favorite!!

And this is where it begins...

I have been asked numerous times if I had a "Photography blog". Up until now, I was behind the times!! So here it is! Its still has a few bumps and may look completely different come next weekend, but this will do!!

A little about me;

Name: Diana Myrle Clarke
I only post it like that so many of you may see where my photography gets its Myrle.
I was named after my grandmother Myrtle Gifford, however she asked my mother not to curse a little girl with an ugly name. So they dropped the T and there I was! MYRLE!

I took my first Photography class in 2001. My brother happen to stumble upon an old Ricoh camera out in the desert with the bag, a few filters and a flash! It was turned into the police, and no one claimed it so it became his/mine! That was the first camera I used, and to this day I hold it sacred like a huge rare gem. I took 2 years of photography in high school and maybe half a semester in College. Those of you who have shot with film, and developed it, you know the cost adds up VERY fast and my minimum wage paycheck couldnt keep up. Therefore forcing me to drop out. That and the teacher made me cry. :(

From 2003-2009 I have been itching to go back to school or even pick up my camera again. But again with my millionaire pockets... cough... it was hard to justify.
After some pushing from my husband and a sweet payment plan I scooped up my Nikon D90! Woot! and back to school I went!

I have LOVED every moment (minus written tests) of school. My goal is to get my associates and then decide from there where I should go.

This semester our teacher has asked us to focus on what "field" we would like to pursue in and for my that is; wedding, families, and portraits. Each of these make me extremely happy. I have been to and involved in several weddings, I love everything about them! I love the fact that I can capture that day and those hidden moments for someone and their families for years to come.

(caution own-horn tooting)
I get very excited to take someones picture, but even more excited when I see the amazing results. I have wowed my self quite a few times and im just "starting out"

So lets journey on!!
